An essential gathering for documentary film lovers.
Since 1997, DocsBarcelona has promoted and encouraged the documentary genre through two channels: the festival, showcasing the latest in documentary cinema, and industry activities, where professionals from the sector meet to support the creation of new projects.
Beyond the official programme, workshops, masterclasses and special sessions are also held in different parts of the city.
The festival has an international presence through various screenings outside Europe: DocsBarcelona + Medellín (Colombia) and SurDocs Barcelona (Chile), in order to be the gateway to Europe for the Latin American documentary.
