Manlleu Film Festival

Short films that explore the boundary between fiction and nonfiction

The Manlleu Film Festival began in 2003 with the aim of taking cinema out of the commercial market. Its programme combines a selection of international short films with support for short films produced in Catalonia. The programme, made up of films from around the world, explores the boundaries between fiction and nonfiction.

The open-air festival is held annually on the banks of the river Ter. It has three regular competitive segments – International, National and Osona – and features a professional and educational aspect in which it offers parallel screenings and activities for all the family.

Its spirit, cinematographic diversity and long trajectory have consolidated the Manlleu Film Festival as one of the short film festivals of reference in the Osona region.
