The first fantasy film festival in the world was launched in 1968 as the International Week of Fantasy and Horror Cinema. Today it is a top event and a strategic benchmark of a festival for cinemagoers, professionals and everyone who wants to see the latest trends and new technologies applied to film and audio-visual production.
Along with a programme that includes an Official Section of films entered in competitions, there are other sections ranging from fantasy film classics to the works of young talents or experimental films that explore the limits of the genre.
