FIRE!!, the first international LGBTIQ+ film festival in Spain, is organized by Casal Lambda in Barcelona, ​​a pioneer in the fight for the rights of the community since the 1970s. Since 1995, FIRE!! has addressed emotional diversity through a carefully curated selection of feature films and documentaries.

For two weeks, the Festival invites us to enjoy this cultural landmark in the city with stories and testimonies from individuals and creators who break barriers and fight for human rights, helping, through love, to build a more just, diverse, and free world.

Spain’s first LGBTI film festival celebrates its 30th edition this year. Created as Mostra Lambda in 1995 by Casal Lambda and renamed Mostra FIRE!! in 2008, our event has already showcased more than 1,300 LGBTI-themed films to audiences in Barcelona and the rest of Catalonia. 30 editions and 1,300 films to see ourselves more and better on screen, to open our eyes and those of others to the realities and experiences of our community. 30 years of igniting everyone’s gaze—as the graphic image of this edition shows—to fight homophobia and transphobia and bring the best of global LGBTI cinema to the widest possible audience each year.
