IndiFest focuses on bringing the cinematographic production of the Indigenous Peoples closer, showing films made with the eyes of the own filmmakers, producers and indigenous communities, enhancing their voice and representativeness. A cinema marked by collective and community production, which tells stories and realities of its own, while also being a tool to defend rights and denounce injustices.

The festival is promoted by the alternating organization Interchange with Indigenous Peoples, which supports, accompanies and defends the rights of indigenous peoples.

Torna l’IndiFest amb la XIX edició, dedicada als somnis. En moltes cosmovisions indígenes, els somnis són molt més que experiències individuals: són espais de coneixement, comunicació i orientació que connecten el passat, el present i el futur amb allò espiritual, ancestral i territorial. La seva interpretació i compartició col·lectiva pot ajudar a prendre decisions, anticipar amenaces i orientar accions comunitàries. En la defensa del territori, els somnis també poden adquirir una dimensió política: esdevenen una font d’orientació i legitimitat per a les lluites davant projectes o actors externs que amenacen la terra, els recursos naturals i les formes de vida comunitàries.
