An international festival for short films under 10 minutes, rooted in Barcelona’s Raval neighbourhood, celebrating its 15th edition in 2027. Over three days, screenings at the MACBA’s Meier Auditorium and Ateneu del Raval showcase bold, diverse and socially engaged short-form cinema. The festival embraces the Slowcurt concept: in contrast to today’s accelerated consumption of images, we invite audiences to slow down, watch and share the audiovisual experience collectively. Our curatorial approach seeks transformative perspectives, new voices and works exploring the narrative, artistic and experimental versatility of the short-film format. With free admission, parallel activities and strong ties to the Raval’s social and cultural fabric, we champion an independent, accessible and welcoming festival: size doesn’t matter; what matters is the way we look.

The 14th edition of La Mida No Importa, held from 29–31 January 2026 in Barcelona’s Raval, featured 38 short films across five programmes at the Ateneu del Raval and MACBA’s Meier Auditorium. It introduced the festival’s first retrospective, dedicated to Austrian filmmaker Bernhard Hetzenauer, and strengthened its collaboration with the Filmoteca de Catalunya through Vivim el Barri and the Young Jury. I Walked Through the Wall by Pablo Larcuen won First Prize (€1,000); Two Ships by McKinley Benson won Second Prize (€500); and Toma Tierra by Yon Bengoechea received the Young Jury Award (€400 in audiovisual services). Long Distance by Iulia Voitova received a Special Mention. The edition reaffirmed the festival’s commitment to new perspectives, diversity and the versatility of short-form cinema.
