The BBVA Mountain Film Festival was founded in 1983 as the Mountain Film Competition. More than three decades later, it is one of the most important festivals in the world of its kind.
The best international mountain- and nature-related films compete in Torelló every year. The wide range of opportunities offered by the festival rules enables documentaries with different subject matter to be screened: expeditions, nature reports, adventure sports, environmental documentaries, etc.
In addition to the competitive section, the festival includes other activities, such as exhibitions, talks, book stands, conferences and prizes for the press.
